| A William Billingsley Nantgarw 8 1/4 inch plate. A very rare example of William Billingsleys decoration on Nantgarw Porcelain. This plate is from a service that is illustrated in W D Johns "Nantgarw Album " illustration 75 where he states " William Billingsleys own painting on Nantgarw Porcelain is extremely scarce, and the few accepted items are of single roses with delicate tracery and on the very finest translucent Porcelain". This plate is from a private collection and bears an old sticker on the back " West Wales Antiques" that being the shop of the late Harold Davies, probably the most knowledgeable of men on Welsh Porcelain .
